Kim Kelley-Wagner has two daughters who were adopted from China. In everyday life, they have been subjected to horrid statements from people - to their faces, to their mother as they stood by her, etc. In this photo collection, shared on her blog, Kim and her daughters (Lily and Meika) put these ignorant cruelties front and center. [x]
"I have tried to explain to my daughters that people do not say these things to be mean, they say them out of ignorance, which is why I am sharing some of them. Words are powerful, they can become tools or weapons, choose to use them wisely."
ALL I DID WAS PAUSE NETFLIX SO I COULD GO GET OREOS IM HAVING A NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE
What satire is: Pointing out the ridiculous nature of oppressive systems by using humour.
What people think it is: License to be racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic etc. as long as you insist you are joking.
What Seth McFarlane thinks satire is: Being racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic etc. in a funny voice.
I can’t stress enough how important it is that you surround yourself with supportive people who make you feel important and special, and who enhance your life with their presence. If their presence is making you feel worse instead of better, re-evaluate why you’re letting them stay.
a prank is:
- something you can look back on and genuinely laugh at whether or not you were the victim
being an asshole is:
- destroying public and private property
- deliberately triggering someone
- inflicting lasting harm on someone
- generally ruining someone’s day, then laughing about it
this april fool’s day, pull pranks instead of being an asshole

Yeah…that’s kinda how I feel.

Actually, if the orange portal were on a relocatable surface, it would actually cause the rod to bend. You’re changing the distance between the two surfaces, and that would push the rod down on itself, but since it’s already pushing the same energy UP through the orange portal, it would crush, or bend.
If you relocated the orange portal, say as your example, at 90 degrees, the orange portal would cease to exist for a split second, as the portal closes, and opening at a different location. Since the connection is severed, so too would the rod be severed, at the site of where the orange portal was originally located. When it reappeared, the entire length of the rod would fall through the blue portal, and exit out the orange portal. The original length the rod was in the beginning, except now (unless you time it exceptionally well) there’s a spot soldered (or more likely, welded) in there somewhere.
You can’t break the laws of physics, and portals are not toys.
Feel free to try, but you will not succeed.
